Instructions:
In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook until soft and translucent.
Add the oysters and their liquor to the pot. Cook until the edges of the oysters curl, about 3-4 minutes.
Pour in the milk and heavy cream. Stir to combine.
Season with salt, black pepper, paprika, and celery salt. Simmer on low heat for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
