Rice and Beans Ingredients

Water
Instructions:
Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat.
Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until fragrant.
Add the beef chunks and cook until browned on all sides.
Stir in the tomato sauce, salt, black pepper, paprika, and thyme. Bring to a boil.
Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 45 minutes, or until the beef is tender.
While the stew is simmering, cook the rice and beans. In a separate pot, bring the water to a boil.
Add the rice and cook according to the package instructions. Add the cooked black-eyed peas to the rice and mix well.
Serve the stew hot with the rice and beans on the side.
