Instructions:
Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
Add chopped onion and cook until translucent.
Add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
Add beef stew meat and brown on all sides.
Stir in turmeric, cumin, and cinnamon.
Add lentils, beef broth, and diced tomatoes.
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 1.5 to 2 hours, until beef and lentils are tender.
Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.
Notes:
Serve with rice or bread.
