Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef or lamb, cubed
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp berbere spice mix
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 cup bell peppers, chopped

Instructions: 

  • 1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • 2. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
  • 3. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  • 4. Add the cubed meat and cook until browned on all sides.
  • 5. Stir in the berbere spice mix, salt, and black pepper.
  • 6. Add the chopped tomatoes and bell peppers. Cook until the vegetables are tender and the meat is fully cooked.
  • 7. Serve hot with injera or rice.

Notes:

Adjust the spice level by adding more or less berbere spice mix.
