Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 kg Beef, cut into chunks
  • 2 cups Beef broth
  • 1 tbsp Fish sauce
  • 1 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp Ginger, minced
  • 2 pcs Star anise
  • 1 stick Cinnamon
  • 2 pcs Carrots, chopped
  • 2 pcs Potatoes, chopped
  • 1 pc Onion, chopped

Instructions: 

  • 1. In a large pot, heat some oil over medium heat and brown the beef chunks.
  • 2. Add garlic and ginger, sauté until fragrant.
  • 3. Pour in beef broth, fish sauce, soy sauce, and sugar. Stir well.
  • 4. Add star anise, cinnamon stick, carrots, potatoes, and onion.
  • 5. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let it simmer for about 2 hours, or until the beef is tender.
  • 6. Serve hot with rice or bread.

Notes:

Feel free to adjust the seasoning to your taste.
