Bay leaves
Instructions:
1. In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat.
2. Add the sliced onions and cook until they are soft and translucent.
3. Add the beef slices and cook until browned on all sides.
4. Layer the sliced potatoes on top of the beef and onions.
5. Pour in the beef broth and beer, then add the bay leaves, salt, and pepper.
6. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for about 90 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender.
7. Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes:
This stew is perfect for a cold day. Serve with crusty bread.
