Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 2 lbs beef stew meat cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups beef broth
  • 3 potatoes diced
  • 4 carrots sliced
  • 1 stalk celery chopped

Instructions: 

  • Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine flour, salt, and pepper. Coat the beef with the flour mixture.
  • In a large Dutch oven, heat a small amount of oil over medium-high heat. Brown the beef in batches.
  • Add garlic, bay leaf, paprika, Worcestershire sauce, and onion to the pot. Stir in beef broth.
  • Add potatoes, carrots, and celery. Stir to combine.
  • Cover and bake in preheated oven for 2 hours, or until meat and vegetables are tender.
