Instructions:
1. Heat a large pot over medium heat. Add the pork shoulder and cook until browned on all sides.
2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the pot. Cook until the onion is translucent.
3. Stir in the cumin, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Cook for another minute.
4. Add the hominy, chicken broth, and bay leaves. Bring to a boil.
5. Reduce heat to low and let simmer for about 40 minutes, or until the pork is tender.
6. Remove bay leaves before serving. Enjoy your Zuni Stew!
