Instructions:
1. Heat a large pot over medium heat and add a bit of oil.
2. Add the beef cubes and cook until browned on all sides.
3. Add the onions and garlic, and cook until softened.
4. Stir in the tomato paste, salt, pepper, thyme, and paprika.
5. Pour in the beef broth and bring to a boil.
6. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 40 minutes.
7. Add the carrots and potatoes, and cook for another 15 minutes.
8. Add the shrimp and cook until pink and cooked through, about 5 minutes.
9. Adjust seasoning if needed and serve hot.
Notes:
This stew is perfect for a cozy dinner. Serve with crusty bread.
