Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef, thinly sliced
  • 1 package soft tofu
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons gochujang (Korean red chili paste)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 green onion, chopped
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions: 

  • Heat sesame oil in a pot over medium heat. Add garlic and onion, sauté until fragrant.
  • Add beef and cook until browned.
  • Stir in gochujang, soy sauce, and sugar. Cook for another 2 minutes.
  • Pour in beef broth and water. Bring to a boil.
  • Add tofu and reduce heat to simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Crack an egg into the stew and let it cook for another 5 minutes.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with green onion before serving.
