Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Beef chuck, cut into chunks
  • 4 cups Beef broth
  • 1 cup Red wine optional
  • 3 pcs Carrots, sliced
  • 4 pcs Potatoes, diced
  • 1 pcs Onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black pepper
  • 2 pcs Bay leaves
  • 1 tsp Thyme dried

Instructions: 

  • 1. In a slow cooker, combine beef, beef broth, red wine, carrots, potatoes, onion, and garlic.
  • 2. Season with salt, pepper, bay leaves, and thyme.
  • 3. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours, or until beef is tender.
  • 4. Remove bay leaves before serving.

Notes:

For a thicker stew, you can mix 2 tablespoons of cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of water and stir it into the stew during the last hour of cooking.
