Instructions:
1. Heat a large pot over medium heat and add a bit of oil.
2. Add the beef stew meat and cook until browned on all sides.
3. Add the onions and garlic, cooking until softened.
4. Stir in the tomato paste, beef broth, carrots, and potatoes.
5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
6. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 2 hours, or until the meat is tender and the vegetables are cooked through.
7. Serve hot and enjoy!
