Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Beef chunks cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 large Onion chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Brown sugar
  • 2 cups Beef broth
  • 1 tsp Thyme dried
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Instructions: 

  • 1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  • 2. Add the beef chunks and brown on all sides. Remove and set aside.
  • 3. In the same pot, add the onion and garlic. Sauté until softened.
  • 4. Stir in the soy sauce, brown sugar, and thyme.
  • 5. Return the beef to the pot and add the beef broth. Bring to a boil.
  • 6. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until the beef is tender.
  • 7. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.

Notes:

For a richer flavor, marinate the beef chunks in soy sauce and garlic for 30 minutes before cooking.
