Instructions:
In a large pot, brown the beef stew meat over medium heat.
Add the onions and garlic, cooking until softened.
Pour in the beef broth and add the potatoes, carrots, salt, pepper, thyme, and bay leaf.
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour.
Remove bay leaf before serving.
