Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 head Swamp Cabbage chopped
  • 1 lb Smoked Sausage sliced
  • 1 large Onion diced
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 4 cups Chicken Broth
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp Salt to taste
  • 0.5 tsp Black Pepper to taste

Instructions: 

  • Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  • Add the diced onion and minced garlic, sauté until translucent.
  • Add the sliced smoked sausage and cook until browned.
  • Add the chopped swamp cabbage and stir well.
  • Pour in the chicken broth, bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
  • Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Serve hot.

Notes:

This stew is even better the next day after the flavors have melded together.
