Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb Beef Stew Meat cut into chunks
  • 1 tbsp Five Spice Powder
  • 2 cups Beef Broth
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 3 Carrots sliced
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp Ginger grated
  • 1 tbsp Vegetable Oil
  • to taste Salt and Pepper

Instructions: 

  • Heat the oil in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add the beef and brown on all sides.
  • Add the onion, garlic, and ginger. Cook until the onion is soft.
  • Stir in the five spice powder and cook for another minute.
  • Add the beef broth, soy sauce, carrots, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil.
  • Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 2 hours or until the beef is tender.

Notes:

Serve hot with rice or bread.
