Salt and Pepper
Instructions:
Heat the oil in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add the beef and brown on all sides.
Add the onion, garlic, and ginger. Cook until the onion is soft.
Stir in the five spice powder and cook for another minute.
Add the beef broth, soy sauce, carrots, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil.
Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 2 hours or until the beef is tender.
Notes:
Serve hot with rice or bread.
