Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb caribou meat cubed
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 2 carrots sliced
  • 2 potatoes cubed
  • 3 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 1 tsp rosemary
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions: 

  • Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add caribou meat and brown on all sides.
  • Add onion and garlic, cook until softened.
  • Add carrots and potatoes, cook for a few minutes.
  • Pour in beef broth and water. Add thyme and rosemary.
  • Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 2 hours.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
