Instructions:
1. Rinse the chicken thoroughly and remove any excess fat.
2. Stuff the chicken with soaked glutinous rice, garlic cloves, and ginseng root.
3. Place the stuffed chicken in a large pot and add the water, ginger slices, and any remaining garlic and ginseng.
4. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce to a simmer. Cover and cook for about 1.5 hours, or until the chicken is tender.
5. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
6. Serve hot, making sure to include some of the broth and stuffed rice in each serving.
