Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 kg Beef cut into chunks
  • 2 pcs Potatoes peeled and cubed
  • 1 pc Carrot peeled and sliced
  • 1 pc Onion chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 2 cups Beef Broth
  • 1 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Fish Sauce
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • 2 pcs Bay Leaves

Instructions: 

  • 1. Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add garlic and onion, sauté until fragrant.
  • 2. Add beef chunks and cook until browned on all sides.
  • 3. Pour in beef broth, soy sauce, and fish sauce. Add bay leaves and black pepper. Bring to a boil.
  • 4. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 45 minutes.
  • 5. Add potatoes and carrots. Continue to simmer until vegetables are tender, about 15 minutes.
  • 6. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.

Notes:

This stew is even better the next day. Store leftovers in the fridge and reheat before serving.
