Turmeric

to taste
Salt and Pepper
Instructions:
1. Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden.
2. Add turmeric and meat cubes. Cook until meat is browned on all sides.
3. Add chopped celery, parsley, and mint. Stir well and cook for another 5 minutes.
4. Pour in water, bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 1.5 hours or until meat is tender.
5. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot with rice.
Notes:
This stew is best served with Persian saffron rice.
