Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb Beef Stew Meat cut into chunks
  • 2 Turnips peeled and diced
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 4 cups Beef Broth
  • 2 tbsp Tomato Paste
  • 1 tsp Thyme dried
  • 1 tsp Salt or to taste
  • 0.5 tsp Black Pepper ground
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil

Instructions: 

  • Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  • Add the beef stew meat and cook until browned on all sides.
  • Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and cook until softened.
  • Stir in the tomato paste, thyme, salt, and black pepper.
  • Pour in the beef broth and bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 1.5 hours.
  • Add the diced turnips and continue to simmer for another 30 minutes, or until the turnips are tender.
  • Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to taste before serving.

Notes:

Serve hot with crusty bread for a complete meal.
