Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 500 g reindeer meat sliced thin
  • 1 unit onion chopped
  • 200 g mushrooms sliced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 300 ml heavy cream
  • 200 ml water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper

Instructions: 

  • 1. Melt the butter in a large pot over medium heat.
  • 2. Add the chopped onion and cook until soft.
  • 3. Add the reindeer meat and cook until browned.
  • 4. Add the mushrooms and cook for another 5 minutes.
  • 5. Pour in the heavy cream and water, then bring to a simmer.
  • 6. Season with salt and black pepper.
  • 7. Let it simmer for about 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • 8. Serve hot with mashed potatoes or bread.

Notes:

For a richer flavor, you can add a splash of red wine.
