Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup Shiro powder
  • 1 large onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 cups water
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Berbere spice optional

Instructions: 

  • Heat oil in a pot over medium heat.
  • Add onions and garlic, sauté until golden brown.
  • Stir in Shiro powder and cook for a minute.
  • Gradually add water, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.
  • Add salt and Berbere spice if using.
  • Simmer for 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Notes:

Serve with injera or rice.
