Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb Shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 1 medium Onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp Brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 cup Chicken broth
  • 1 tsp Thyme, dried
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 cup Bell peppers, chopped
  • 1 cup Tomatoes, chopped

Instructions: 

  • Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the onion and garlic, and sauté until fragrant.
  • Stir in the brown sugar and soy sauce, cooking until the sugar is dissolved.
  • Add the shrimp and cook until they turn pink.
  • Pour in the chicken broth, thyme, paprika, black pepper, and salt. Stir well.
  • Add the bell peppers and tomatoes. Simmer for 10-15 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  • Serve hot with rice or your favorite side.

Notes:

For a spicier version, add some chopped scotch bonnet pepper.
