Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 2 lbs beef stew meat
  • 0.25 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 oz)
  • 2 cups sliced carrots
  • 2 cups cubed potatoes
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 0.5 tsp paprika
  • 0.25 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 0.25 cup chopped fresh parsley

Instructions: 

  • Coat beef with flour.
  • Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat. Brown beef in batches.
  • Add onion and garlic, cook until softened.
  • Stir in beef broth, tomatoes, carrots, potatoes, celery, salt, pepper, paprika, cayenne, and bay leaves.
  • Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 2 hours.
  • Remove bay leaves, stir in parsley before serving.
