Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef stew meat
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 3 carrots, sliced
  • 2 potatoes, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 bay leaf

Instructions: 

  • In a large pot, brown the beef stew meat over medium heat.
  • Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, cook until softened.
  • Pour in the beef broth and bring to a boil.
  • Add the carrots, potatoes, salt, pepper, thyme, and bay leaf.
  • Reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour, or until the meat is tender.
  • Remove the bay leaf before serving.

Notes:

Feel free to add other vegetables like peas or green beans.
