Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 500 g Beef chuck, cut into cubes
  • 4 Potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks
  • 1 Onion, sliced
  • 2 cups Dashi stock
  • 3 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Mirin
  • 1 tbsp Sugar

Instructions: 

  • 1. Heat a large pot over medium heat and add a bit of oil.
  • 2. Add the beef and cook until browned on all sides.
  • 3. Add the onion and cook until softened.
  • 4. Add the potatoes, dashi stock, soy sauce, mirin, and sugar. Bring to a boil.
  • 5. Reduce heat to low and simmer for about 30-40 minutes, or until the potatoes and beef are tender.
  • 6. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes:

This stew is perfect for a cozy night in. Feel free to add other vegetables like carrots or mushrooms.
