Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 kg Beef shank cut into pieces
  • 2 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 1 cup Yogurt
  • 2 tbsp Nihari masala
  • 1 tsp Salt to taste
  • 4 cups Water
  • 1 Onion sliced
  • 1/4 cup Ghee

Instructions: 

  • Heat ghee in a large pot over medium heat. Add sliced onions and cook until golden brown.
  • Add ginger garlic paste and cook for 2 minutes.
  • Add beef shank pieces and cook until browned on all sides.
  • Add yogurt, nihari masala, and salt. Cook for another 5 minutes.
  • Pour in water, bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 4 hours, or until beef is tender.
  • Serve hot with naan or rice.

Notes:

Adjust the spice level to your preference by adding more or less nihari masala.
