garam masala

diced tomatoes
400 grams

vegetable broth
to taste

black pepper

fresh cilantro
chopped, for garnish
Instructions:
Heat the oil in a large pot over medium heat.
Add the chopped onion, garlic, and ginger. Sauté until the onion is translucent.
Add the turmeric, cumin, coriander, and garam masala. Cook for another minute.
Add the diced tomatoes and cook for 5 minutes.
Add the red lentils and vegetable broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes or until lentils are tender.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
Notes:
For a thicker stew, you can blend a portion of it and mix it back in.
