Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 1 cup Chopped Onion
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 3 cups Diced Potatoes
  • 2 cups Sliced Carrots
  • 1 cup Frozen Peas
  • 4 cups Beef Broth
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp Dried Thyme

Instructions: 

  • 1. In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  • 2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the pot. Cook until the onion is translucent.
  • 3. Stir in the diced potatoes, sliced carrots, and beef broth. Bring to a boil.
  • 4. Reduce heat and simmer for about 30 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender.
  • 5. Add the frozen peas, salt, black pepper, and dried thyme. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  • 6. Serve hot and enjoy your Hoosier Stew!

Notes:

This stew is even better the next day, so feel free to make it ahead of time.
