Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb Beef chuck, cut into cubes
  • 1 cup Green beans, trimmed and cut
  • 2 pcs Carrots, sliced
  • 1 pc Onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 4 cups Beef broth
  • 2 pcs Bay leaves
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper

Instructions: 

  • 1. Heat a large pot over medium heat. Add the beef and cook until browned on all sides.
  • 2. Add the chopped onion and garlic to the pot. Cook until the onion is translucent.
  • 3. Pour in the beef broth and add the bay leaves. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 1.5 hours.
  • 4. Add the carrots and green beans to the pot. Simmer for another 30 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender.
  • 5. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Remove bay leaves before serving.

Notes:

For a thicker stew, you can add a slurry of cornstarch and water during the last 10 minutes of cooking.
