Beef chuck, cut into cubes

Green beans, trimmed and cut

Carrots, sliced

Onion, chopped

Garlic, minced

Beef broth

Instructions:
1. Heat a large pot over medium heat. Add the beef and cook until browned on all sides.
2. Add the chopped onion and garlic to the pot. Cook until the onion is translucent.
3. Pour in the beef broth and add the bay leaves. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 1.5 hours.
4. Add the carrots and green beans to the pot. Simmer for another 30 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender.
5. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Remove bay leaves before serving.
Notes:
For a thicker stew, you can add a slurry of cornstarch and water during the last 10 minutes of cooking.
