Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Beef Stew Meat
  • 2 cups Apple Cider
  • 4 Carrots peeled and chopped
  • 4 Potatoes peeled and chopped
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 4 cups Beef Broth
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • 2 tbsp Flour

Instructions: 

  • 1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  • 2. Add beef stew meat and cook until browned on all sides.
  • 3. Remove beef from pot and set aside.
  • 4. In the same pot, add onions and garlic. Cook until softened.
  • 5. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute.
  • 6. Gradually add beef broth and apple cider, stirring constantly.
  • 7. Return beef to the pot. Add carrots, potatoes, salt, and pepper.
  • 8. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 2 hours, or until beef is tender.

Notes:

For a thicker stew, mix 1 tbsp of cornstarch with 2 tbsp of water and stir into the stew during the last 10 minutes of cooking.
