Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lb pork shoulder, cubed
  • 2 cups sauerkraut, drained
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 pcs bay leaves
  • 1 tsp caraway seeds
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions: 

  • Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  • Add chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté until softened.
  • Add cubed pork shoulder, cook until browned.
  • Stir in sauerkraut, chicken broth, bay leaves, and caraway seeds.
  • Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 45 minutes.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste. Remove bay leaves before serving.

Notes:

Best served with crusty bread.
