Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 kg Beef, cubed
  • 2 Onions, chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp Tomato paste
  • 1 tsp Turmeric
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 2 cups Beef broth
  • 1 cup Dried apricots, chopped

Instructions: 

  • 1. Heat a large pot over medium heat and add a bit of oil.
  • 2. Add the chopped onions and cook until they are soft and golden.
  • 3. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  • 4. Add the beef cubes and brown them on all sides.
  • 5. Stir in the tomato paste, turmeric, cumin, and cinnamon. Cook for a couple of minutes.
  • 6. Pour in the beef broth and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the beef is tender.
  • 7. Add the chopped dried apricots and cook for another 10 minutes.
  • 8. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  • 9. Serve hot with rice or bread.
