Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb Beef chuck, cut into cubes
  • 1 large Onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 cups Beef broth
  • 1 cup Carrots, sliced
  • 1 cup Potatoes, diced
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp Sesame oil
  • 1 tsp Ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp Salt

Instructions: 

  • 1. Heat a large pot over medium heat and add a bit of oil.
  • 2. Add the beef cubes and brown them on all sides. Remove and set aside.
  • 3. In the same pot, add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant.
  • 4. Return the beef to the pot. Add the beef broth, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and ground black pepper. Stir well.
  • 5. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Cover and simmer for about 1.5 hours.
  • 6. Add the sliced carrots and diced potatoes. Cook for another 30 minutes or until the vegetables are tender.
  • 7. Season with salt to taste. Serve hot.

Notes:

Feel free to add more vegetables like bell peppers or peas.
