Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 500 g Mutton cut into pieces
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 1 large Onion chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 inch Ginger minced
  • 2 cups Water
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin powder
  • 1 tsp Garam masala
  • 2 medium Potatoes peeled and cubed
  • 2 medium Carrots peeled and sliced

Instructions: 

  • Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  • Add chopped onions, garlic, and ginger. Sauté until onions are golden brown.
  • Add mutton pieces and cook until browned on all sides.
  • Add turmeric, coriander, cumin, and garam masala. Stir well.
  • Pour in water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 60 minutes.
  • Add potatoes and carrots. Cook for another 30 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
  • Season with salt to taste. Serve hot.

Notes:

For a richer flavor, marinate the mutton in yogurt and spices for an hour before cooking.
