Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb Beef chuck, cut into cubes
  • 2 cups Beef broth
  • 1 Large onion, chopped
  • 2 Carrots, sliced
  • 2 Potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 3 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Mirin
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black pepper

Instructions: 

  • 1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the beef and cook until browned on all sides.
  • 2. Add the chopped onion and cook until softened.
  • 3. Pour in the beef broth, soy sauce, mirin, and sugar. Stir to combine.
  • 4. Add the carrots and potatoes. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for about 2 hours, or until the beef is tender.
  • 5. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Serve hot.

Notes:

Feel free to add other vegetables like mushrooms or peas for extra flavor.
