Dumpling Ingredients

Instructions:
1. In a large pot, heat some oil over medium heat. Add chicken and cook until browned.
2. Add carrots, celery, onion, and garlic. Cook until vegetables are tender.
3. Pour in chicken broth, thyme, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
4. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir in milk and melted butter until just combined.
5. Drop spoonfuls of dumpling batter onto the simmering stew. Cover and cook for 15 minutes, or until dumplings are cooked through.
Notes:
For a richer flavor, you can use chicken thighs with bones and skin, but remove them before serving.
