Instructions:
1. Heat a large pot over medium heat. Add the sausage and cook until browned.
2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the pot. Cook until the onion is translucent.
3. Add the chopped carrots and diced potatoes. Stir well.
4. Pour in the chicken broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
5. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Serve hot.
