Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 500 g squid, cleaned and cut into rings
  • 300 g taro, peeled and cubed
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp fish sauce
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp chopped cilantro (optional)

Instructions: 

  • Heat oil in a pot over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, sauté until fragrant.
  • Add squid and cook for 2-3 minutes until it turns opaque.
  • Add taro, salt, pepper, and fish sauce. Stir well.
  • Pour in chicken broth, bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30-35 minutes until taro is tender.
  • Garnish with cilantro before serving, if desired.

Notes:

Feel free to adjust the seasoning to your taste.
