Instructions:
1. Heat a large pot over medium heat and add a bit of oil.
2. Add the reindeer meat and brown on all sides.
3. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, cook until softened.
4. Stir in the tomato paste, thyme, salt, and pepper.
5. Pour in the beef broth and bring to a boil.
6. Reduce heat to low, cover, and let simmer for 1.5 hours.
7. Add the carrots and potatoes, cook for another 30 minutes until vegetables are tender.
8. Adjust seasoning if necessary and serve hot.
Notes:
This stew is even better the next day, once the flavors have melded together.
