Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 500 g Beef stew meat cut into chunks
  • 2 Carrots sliced
  • 2 Potatoes diced
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 500 ml Beef stock
  • 1 tbsp Tomato paste
  • 1 tsp Thyme dried
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper

Instructions: 

  • 1. Heat some oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  • 2. Add the beef and cook until browned on all sides.
  • 3. Add the onion and garlic, and cook until softened.
  • 4. Stir in the tomato paste, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  • 5. Pour in the beef stock and bring to a boil.
  • 6. Reduce the heat, cover, and simmer for 1.5 hours.
  • 7. Add the carrots and potatoes, and cook for another 30 minutes until tender.

Notes:

Serve hot with crusty bread.
