Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 kg Beef Chuck cut into cubes
  • 2 pcs Onions chopped
  • 3 pcs Carrots sliced
  • 4 cloves Garlic minced
  • 2 cups Beef Broth
  • 1 cup Red Wine
  • 2 pcs Bay Leaves
  • 1 tsp Thyme dried
  • 2 tsp Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil

Instructions: 

  • 1. Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  • 2. Add the beef cubes and brown on all sides. Remove and set aside.
  • 3. In the same pot, add the onions and cook until translucent.
  • 4. Add the garlic and cook for another minute.
  • 5. Return the beef to the pot. Add the carrots, beef broth, red wine, bay leaves, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  • 6. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 2 hours, or until the beef is tender.
  • 7. Remove bay leaves before serving.

Notes:

Best served with crusty bread.
