Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 500 g chickpeas soaked overnight
  • 1 ham bone
  • 1 pork belly
  • 2 chorizo sausages
  • 2 morcilla sausages
  • 4 carrots peeled and chopped
  • 4 potatoes peeled and chopped
  • 1 cabbage chopped
  • 1 onion peeled
  • 4 cloves garlic peeled
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper

Instructions: 

  • 1. In a large pot, add the soaked chickpeas, ham bone, pork belly, and enough water to cover. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer.
  • 2. Skim off any foam that forms on the surface. Add the chorizo and morcilla sausages, carrots, potatoes, cabbage, onion, and garlic.
  • 3. Season with salt and black pepper. Cover and simmer for about 2.5 hours, or until the chickpeas are tender.
  • 4. Remove the meats and vegetables from the pot. Slice the meats and serve alongside the chickpeas and vegetables.
  • 5. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes:

This hearty stew is perfect for a cold day. Feel free to adjust the seasoning to your taste.
