Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 500 g Beef, cubed
  • 1 cup Coconut milk
  • 1 Onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 Ginger, minced 1-inch piece
  • 2 Green chilies, slit
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Black pepper powder
  • 2 tsp Garam masala
  • 2 tbsp Coconut oil
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 cup Water
  • few sprigs Curry leaves

Instructions: 

  • Heat coconut oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  • Add sliced onions, minced garlic, and ginger. Sauté until onions are translucent.
  • Add green chilies, turmeric powder, black pepper powder, and garam masala. Stir well.
  • Add cubed beef and cook until browned on all sides.
  • Pour in coconut milk and water. Bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 30-40 minutes until beef is tender.
  • Add salt to taste and curry leaves. Stir well and cook for another 5 minutes.
  • Serve hot with rice or bread.

Notes:

This stew is best enjoyed with steamed rice or appam.
