Instructions:
Season beef with salt and pepper.
In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat. Add beef and brown on all sides.
Add onion and garlic, cook until softened.
Pour in beef broth, add bay leaves and thyme.
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 2 hours.
