Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 kg Beef cut into chunks
  • 2 pcs Onions chopped
  • 3 pcs Carrots sliced
  • 4 pcs Potatoes peeled and cubed
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil
  • 1 liter Beef Broth
  • 2 pcs Bay Leaves
  • 1 tsp Salt to taste
  • 0.5 tsp Black Pepper to taste

Instructions: 

  • 1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  • 2. Add the beef chunks and brown them on all sides.
  • 3. Add the chopped onions and minced garlic. Cook until the onions are translucent.
  • 4. Pour in the beef broth and add the bay leaves. Bring to a boil.
  • 5. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for about 1.5 hours.
  • 6. Add the sliced carrots and cubed potatoes. Cook for another 30 minutes or until the vegetables are tender.
  • 7. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Remove the bay leaves before serving.

Notes:

Serve hot with a slice of rye bread.
