Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Chicken thighs bone-in, skin-on
  • 1/2 cup Soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup Vinegar white or cane vinegar
  • 1 Onion sliced
  • 4 cloves Garlic crushed
  • 2 Bay leaves
  • 1 tsp Black peppercorns
  • 1 cup Water

Instructions: 

  • 1. Combine chicken, soy sauce, and garlic in a large pot. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  • 2. Add vinegar, onion, bay leaves, peppercorns, and water to the pot.
  • 3. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 45 minutes until chicken is tender.
  • 4. Serve hot with steamed rice.

Notes:

For a richer flavor, you can brown the chicken in a bit of oil before adding the marinade.
