Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 2 lbs beef chuck, cut into cubes
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup red wine optional
  • 4 pcs carrots, sliced
  • 4 pcs potatoes, diced
  • 1 pc onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp flour

Instructions: 

  • 1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  • 2. Add beef cubes and brown on all sides. Remove and set aside.
  • 3. In the same pot, add onions and garlic. Cook until softened.
  • 4. Sprinkle flour over the onions and garlic, stir well.
  • 5. Pour in beef broth and red wine, bring to a boil.
  • 6. Return beef to the pot, add carrots, potatoes, salt, and pepper.
  • 7. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 2 hours or until beef is tender.

Notes:

Serve hot with crusty bread.
