beef chuck, cut into cubes

beef broth

red wine

garlic, minced

Instructions:
1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
2. Add beef cubes and brown on all sides. Remove and set aside.
3. In the same pot, add onions and garlic. Cook until softened.
4. Sprinkle flour over the onions and garlic, stir well.
5. Pour in beef broth and red wine, bring to a boil.
6. Return beef to the pot, add carrots, potatoes, salt, and pepper.
7. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 2 hours or until beef is tender.
Notes:
Serve hot with crusty bread.
