Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil
  • 1 large Onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp Ginger, minced
  • 1 can Tomato Paste
  • 2 cups Tomato Sauce
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1 lb Beef, cubed
  • 1 cup Water

Instructions: 

  • Heat the oil in a pot over medium heat.
  • Add the chopped onion, garlic, and ginger. Sauté until golden brown.
  • Stir in the tomato paste and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Add the tomato sauce, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Mix well.
  • Add the cubed beef and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
  • Serve hot with waakye.

This stew pairs perfectly with waakye, a traditional Ghanaian rice and beans dish.
